Easy and elegant appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with creamy brie, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Perfect for holiday gatherings or any occasion.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden and toasted. Keep a close watch to prevent burning.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Top each toasted baguette slice with a small piece of brie cheese.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 3-5 minutes, or until the brie is softened and slightly melted.
Remove from oven and top each crostini with a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

For a richer flavor, use a high-quality aged balsamic glaze.
Add chopped pecans or walnuts for a crunchy texture.
If you don't have balsamic glaze, you can make your own by simmering balsamic vinegar over low heat until it reduces and thickens.
Crostini can be assembled ahead of time up to the point of adding the cranberry sauce and balsamic glaze. Add those just before serving to prevent the baguette from getting soggy.
