Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic-infused olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss gently to combine.
Pour the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mozzarella is melted and bubbly and the tomatoes are slightly softened.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with balsamic glaze (optional) before serving.
