Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
Brush each slice with melted Jersey butter.
Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden and toasted.
While the baguette slices are toasting, wash and hull the Jersey strawberries. Cut them into quarters or slices, depending on size.
In a small bowl, gently mix the Jersey milk ricotta with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Spread a generous amount of ricotta cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
Top with sliced Jersey strawberries and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, if desired.
Serve immediately.

For a richer flavor, use a balsamic reduction instead of glaze. You can make your own by simmering balsamic vinegar until it thickens.
If you don't have fresh basil, you can use a small amount of dried basil, but fresh is highly recommended.
The sweetness of the strawberries can vary, so adjust the amount of balsamic glaze accordingly.
Feel free to add a drizzle of Jersey honey for extra sweetness, if desired.
