A comforting apple crumble infused with the flavors of Jersey Black Butter, served with creamy clotted cream. Perfect after a savory meal.
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, Jersey Black Butter, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the apples evenly.
Pour the apple mixture into a 9-inch baking dish.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar.
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. If using, add the ground cinnamon.
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbling.
Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a dollop of clotted cream.

For a richer flavor, add a handful of chopped walnuts or pecans to the crumble topping.
If you don't have Jersey Black Butter, you can substitute with apple butter and a pinch of mixed spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves).
The crumble can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
To prevent the topping from burning, cover the crumble with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking if needed.
