Our Story

The Payn family have been growing tomatoes for some 100 years here in the Vingtaine of La Rocque. The business began with outdoor production moving into growing under protected cover in the sixties. In the mid eighties we linked up with Sainsbury's where we exported all of our locally grown tomatoes to the UK in which 80% of our production went to Sainsbury's.

Fauvic Nurseries have long been tomato growers, exporting the bulk of our produce to the UK market, but external factors resulted in us looking to diversify our business into a farm shop. From the humble beginnings of the farm shop starting from a wheelbarrow on the road, we have never looked back with our farm shop continuing to grow. Our store is still at the centre of our success, with the emphasis and passion on offering the very best fresh, seasonal, organic and handmade food from in-house specialists and local artisan producers. Holme Grown delivers the freshest, sourced fruit, vegetables, and herbs to the hospitality industry across the island.
