A Favorite Snack

The perfect alternative to buffalo wings, buffalo cauliflower bites are savory and snackable!

  • We love them because they taste SO GOOD!
  • They’re air fried (and not deep fried) for extra crisp without all of the fat.
  • They can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and cooked just before eating.
  • Toss them in buffalo sauce or save a few without sauce for anyone in your group who doesn’t eat spice!

  3. Toss cauliflower into the batter & let excess batter drip off.

  1. Gently roll each cauliflower piece in breading mixture & place in air fryer. Cook until crispy (per the recipe below.)
  2. Remove cauliflower bites & toss in Buffalo sauce. Return to air fryer & cook another 2-3 minutes.

No Air Fryer? No Problem!

Oven-Baked Buffalo Cauliflower is just as easy as the air fryer version!

Tips for Perfection

  • Cut or break cauliflower pieces into uniform sizes so they all cook at the same rate.
  • The batter is very thick, be sure to allow excess to drip off (or even give it a little shake if needed).
  • Do not overcrowd the basket, cook in batches if needed to ensure that the air has lots of space to circulate.
  • For a crisper breading, serve with hot sauce on the side for dipping. (Garlicky Aioli is another favorite dip).

Air Fryer Meatloaf

Air fryer meatloaf is so juicy and cooks in a fraction of the time and clean up is a breeze.

This meatloaf contains a mixture of meat & seasonings and its topped with a delicious zesty topping!

sliced Air Fryer Meatloaf

Why Make Meatloaf in the Air Fryer

A classic meatloaf is a favorite meal and we love this air fryer version for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • this can baked in about half of the time compared to an oven recipe.
  • the fat drips away into the pan so the meat doesn’t cook in the fat.
  • this makes 2 smaller meatloaves so they’re easier to handle (and you get more of the crispy edges)
  • cleanup is a breeze (I have the Cosori 5.8QT XL and a quick rinse and it goes into the dishwasher

No Air Fryer? No problem!

ingredients to make Air Fryer Meatloaf

Ingredients

MEAT We use lean ground beef (80/20), however, a combination of ground beef and ground turkey or pork can work just as well.

VEGGIES Finely diced bell pepper, onions, parsley, and garlic add flavor.

BINDER & SEASONINGS Breadcrumbs are mixed together with milk and egg yolk, Parmesan cheese, and a handful of Italian seasoning.

Ingredient Info

The topping in this recipe contains chili sauce (which is not spicy) and ketchup and it’s my favorite part of meatloaf.

If you’ve never had chili sauce, it is like a very zesty tangy ketchup with tons of flavor. It’s amazing combined with BBQ sauce and put on burgers and ribs.

Perfectly crispy air fryer onion rings are way better than the frozen variety (and easy to make)!

Satisfy your craving and skip the takeout (and the extra fat). Onion rings aren’t difficult and taste amazing.

Air Fryer Onion Rings

Finally, we can enjoy crispy, crunchy onion rings without a vat of oil!

We love air fryer recipes because they come out so crispy and are so easy to make! The air fryer needs less oil, creates fewer fat calories, and plus it takes less time. What’s not to love?

onions to make Air Fryer Onion Rings

Ingredients

ONIONS We like large, sweet onions like Vidalias, but if Walla Wallas are available, those are the best!

FLOUR This simple dredge adds seasoning but most of all helps the coating stick to the onions.

BUTTERMILK & EGG This helps the crumbs stick. If you don’t have buttermilk, cream or milk will work.

PANKO Panko bread crumbs have more crunch for a crispy coating. If you only have regular bread crumbs, those work too.

How to Make Air Fryer Onion Rings

Make a double batch of these beauties, because you can be sure that they will disappear in no time!

  1. Cut onions into ½ inch slices and separate the rings.
  2. Combine flour, seasoned salt, & cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Whisk eggs in another bowl until they are frothy. Stir breadcrumbs, oil, & cornmeal in another bowl.
  4. Dip each ring into eggs, flour, eggs, breadcrumbs, then place in the preheated air fryer.

  1. Fry rings in a single layer until golden brown & crispy on the outside, about 12 to 15 minutes.
  2. Remove onion rings from the air fryer & sprinkle with seasoned salt. Serve immediately.

Can you Freeze Onion Rings?

Freeze cooked and cooled onion rings in a zippered bag with the date labeled on the outside. They’ll keep fresh for up to 8 weeks in the freezer.

Cook from frozen in the air fryer.

Air Fryer Grilled Cheese – Ready in 10 Minutes!

If you have an air fryer, grilled cheese sandwiches are the perfect easy lunch!! Crisp on the outside with melty cheese inside.

I love all of the awesome things I can cook in my air fryer from chicken breasts to Brussels sprouts. This air fryer grilled cheese tops the list for me for sure.

plated Air Fryer Grilled Cheese with pickle slices on top

Why I Love It So Much

Making a grilled cheese sandwich isn’t difficult but it’s even easier in the air fryer.

  • It’s easy to make 4 sandwiches at once (I have a Cosori XL 5.8qt).
  • They brown perfectly on both sides (and are not greasy).
  • I find them to be the perfect amount of crisp with melty cheese.
  • Super easy cleanup with just a wipe to the basket.

Make the classic pairing of grilled cheese and our delicious homemade fresh tomato soup, and a side of colorful fruit kabobs.

Ingredients

BREAD Any bread will do from sandwich bread to leftover French bread. Use what you have on hand.

BUTTER Lightly butter the bread with real butter. I love to add a tiny pinch of garlic powder to the outside of the bread but it’s optional.

CHEESE Sharp cheddar has great flavor but don’t stop there, add whatever is in your fridge. Brie, cream cheese, pepper jack, anything goes!

I often add a couple of slices of thick real cheddar and a single slice of processed cheese for great texture.

two grilled cheese sandwiches in an air fryer basket

How to Make a Grilled Cheese in the Air Fryer

  1. Butter each slice of bread. Place the bread butter side down in the air fryer basket.
  2. Add cheese to each piece of bread and top with another piece of buttered bread (butter side out). Sprinkle with garlic powder if desired.
  3. Cook 4 to 6 minutes, or until the sandwiches are crisp & golden brown.

Leftovers

  • Keep the leftover sandwiches in a covered container in the refrigerator for about 2 days. The best way to reheat grilled cheese sandwiches is to re-toast them in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
  • Cube leftover sandwiches, toast in the oven, and make them into cheesy croutons for tomato soup!

Air Fryer Fried Pickles

Air fryer fried pickles are crispy and crunchy with lots of great dill pickle flavor and they can be made right at home!

We are obsessed with all things pickle (and of course fried pickles) and this crunchy, tangy recipe tops the list. Simply dip in the coating and air fry!

top view of Crispy Air Fryer Dill Pickles on a plate

Who doesn’t love crunchy dill pickles?

What Type of Pickles to Use?

Dill pickles are best for this recipe. Ensure your pickle slices aren’t too thin.

  • Pickle spears – have the most pickle flavor and are the juiciest because the pickle is thicker.
  • Pickle chips – or rounds are great for snacking. If making these, cut your own pickles to make them a bit thicker.
  • Sliced pickles – we love the crunch of these pickles, they have a higher coating to pickle ratio. Slice your own from large pickles to have thicker slices.

Ingredients and Variations

PICKLES Choose your favorite shape of dill pickles (above). We love spears or thick slices.

BREADCRUMBS Panko bread crumbs add a great crunch to this recipe although seasoned bread crumbs will work in a pinch.

LOW CARB Version: Ditch the flour and use a bit of almond flour instead. Swap out Panko bread crumbs with a combination of almond flour and crushed pork rinds (season them). Eggs are keto so follow the same steps in the original recipe.

How to Fry Pickles in Air Fryer

Air fryer pickles are a weird and wonderful treat that takes just minutes to put together!

  1. Pat drained pickles dry with paper towel. Put flour in one bowl, egg mixture in another bowl, & Panko mixture in a third bowl.
  2. Dredge each pickle in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumbs, pressing the breadcrumbs into the coated pickles.
  3. Spray each pickle with cooking spray & place in air fryer. Cook for 5 minutes, turn over, & cook another 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp.

Tips for Frying Pickles

  • Slice pickles yourself to get thicker slices (and more pickle in every bite).
  • Dab the pickles dry before coating, this helps the coating stick.
  • Work in batches by air frying pickles while breading other pickles.
  • Just before serving all of the batches can be reheated for about 1 minute.
  • Spray the pickles with cooking spray before putting them in the air fryer. Cooking spray can damage the basket.

What to Serve with Fried Pickles

Put the air fryer back to work on some of these appetizers! Air fryer taquitos, air fryer stuffed mushrooms, and some air fryer shrimp would all pair perfectly with fried pickles. Don’t forget a party pitcher of homemade lemonade or some tangy margaritas!

The air fryer strikes again for this easy-to-make recipe for air fryer cauliflower!

Seasoned, crispy, fried cauliflower florets are a low-carb and Keto but to be honest, everyone in my family loves this!

top view of Air Fryer Cauliflower on a plate with a fork

Cauliflower is a superfood and it roasts perfectly in the air fryer! Cook up a batch as a side dish, or as a guilt-free snack!

Easy Air-Fried Cauliflower

Air fried cauliflower is one of our favorite recipes it requires little prep and minimal seasoning and cooks in about 15 minutes.

The caramelization from the air fryer makes this dish even more flavorful.

Eat this as a side dish or use in place of steamed cauliflower in dishes like mashed cauliflower, to add to casseroles or even in roasted cauliflower soup.

Air Fryer Cauliflower in the air fryer before cooking

Ingredients/Variations

CAULIFLOWER – I prefer to use fresh cauliflower in the air fryer but if you only have frozen, use that!

Frozen cauliflower does not need to be thawed first. Simply brush with olive oil (or spray with cooking spray).

SEASONINGS We use garlic powder, salt & pepper, and parmesan in this recipe. Switch it up by trying different seasonings. Or coat the cauliflower florets with buffalo sauce and make “wings.”

How to Cook Cauliflower in the Air Fryer

It’s super easy and fast to cook up some tasty cauliflower!

  1. Prepare the cauliflower and toss with a bit of oil and seasonings (per recipe below).
  2. Place cauliflower pieces in the air fryer basket and fry until tender.
  3. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and cook another few minutes until the cheese is melted and crispy.

How To Cook Frozen Fries In An Air Fryer

Air fryer frozen french fries takes only 4 short steps from start to finish.

Step 1 – Pre-heat the air fryer to 400 and spray down the basket with cooking spray.

Step 2 – Add the fries to the basket and spritz with cooking spray and sprinkle with salt.

Step 3 – Cook for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.

Step 4- Remove from the air fryer and enjoy.

The optional step is making the Chipotle Mayo. That only requires mixing all the ingredients together and refrigerating for hopefully an hour before enjoying. The wait time isn’t mandatory, but the flavor will be much more robust.

How Long To Air Fry Frozen French Fries?

Air Fryer Frozen French Fries time clocks in at just 20 minutes plus the two minutes it takes to prep the basket and fries. You’ll be grubbing down on a plate before the first quarter of your game is over.

Air Fried French Fries:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400º. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Add the fries to the basket, spritz with the cooking spray and sprinkle with salt.
  • Cook for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.
  • Remove from the air fryer, divide between plates and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Note 1- We use traditional french fries. If you’re using shoestring fries you may need to cut back the cook time by a few minutes. If you’re using steak fries you may need to add a few minutes to the total cook time.

Note 2- Add one pepper to start with and taste the spice level. Add a second pepper if you can handle the smoky heat!

Note 3- This is the sauce the Chipotle Peppers are packed in. The can will say “Chipotle Peppers with Adobo Sauce.”

Note 4- Add an extra 1/4 tsp if you like a sweeter sauce.

Note 5 – Salt has not been added to the nutritional calculation.

Making Air Fryer Tater Tots are much easier to make than fried tater tots recipes. A HUGE bonus is to NOT have to lug out the huge bottle of oil. Who wants to clean up all that gross grease anyway?? Hard pass. Plus, in my postage stamp size home I’d be smelling the scent of baked grease for days.

It’s why we make two of our favorite chicken wings recipes and onion ring recipe in the air fryer as well – Buffalo Air Fryer Chicken Wings,  Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings and Air Fryer Onion Rings.

For my Air Fryer Recipes, I use the June Oven. In the market for a new Air Fryer? Amazon has a ton on sale, including the popular Ninja Foodie Digital Fry.
