So grab your food + drink and head to the patio to listen to some soul. Vendors will be set-up in the Transfer Co. parking lot for you to shop. Please remember that social distancing is a MUST. Coronato Celebrates Birthday By Helping Others

Coronato pizza restaurant will be celebrating its first birthday on Saturday by donating proceeds to children in need. The restaurant is donating all proceeds that day to TABLE, a local nonprofit that provides hunger relief and nutrition education services to children living in Orange County. Coronato is also asking you to contribute non-perishable donations. If you bring in four items from TABLE’s wish list, you will get a free tiramisu. Saturday’s menu will include Fava Bean Falafel, Pasta Fritti and Diggs’ luscious Focaccia Bread and to celebrate the beginning of year two, the restaurant has announced two new permanent menu items –eggplant meatballs and Roman pan pizzas. On Saturday, Coronato is open for takeout and curbside pick-up. They will have limited sidewalk patio seating outside and space indoors for a small group to rent the restaurant for the day. Pre-orders are suggested for take-out items. In addition, Craftboro Brewing Company, which is located next to Coronato, will be donating all proceeds from their Tessera Golden Ale sales to TABLE. Cooking for a Classic Semifinales

The 4th Annual Cooking for a Classic to benefit The Lucy Daniels Center. They’ve got a great lineup of chefs who will go head to head in a tournament-style competition to claim the top prize: a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. Each chef will prepare three courses with at least one secret ingredient in each dish. Attendees and guest judges will decide which chef will advance in the competition. New for 2020! Empty Bowls 2020

Now in its 14th year, Empty Bowls is benefitting Urban Ministries of Durham. Join over 1,000 members of our community to sample soups prepared by local, award-winning chefs, vote for your favorite, and, with certain tickets, take home a hand-crafted soup bowl made by a local artist. This Durham event helps raise over $100,000 for the city’s primary public homeless shelter, which provides food, shelter, and a future to neighbors in need.
